The three year full-time course programme leads to a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) awarded by Royal Holloway University of London, one of the 19 institutions making up the University of London. Upon completion of the programme, trainees are eligible to apply for chartered status as a Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

We accept applications for NHS places from UK, EU and non-EU candidates with a right to work in the UK. We additionally accept applications for self-funded places from candidates who meet overseas fees status and who do not have the right to work in the UK. Trainees commissioned by the NHS are employees of Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust and are paid on the prevailing NHS trainee (Band 6) scales plus full Inner London weighting with university fees covered by Health Education England (please see trainee job description). Self-funded international trainees will hold honorary NHS contracts and require a student visa.

The programme is accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) for a CBT-focused stream, or pathway, within the programme. Trainees completing this pathway will, at the end of the Programme, meet all the requirements for practitioner accreditation with BABCP. The pathway has particular requirements, including some additional elements, which are outlined here.
