E-Learning – Digital Clinical Practice

Developing Competencies for Digital Clinical Practice

The Division of Clinical Psychology’s Digital Healthcare Committee has co-produced a series of four digital mental health e-learning modules to be freely available to psychological practitioners.

The course is free to BPS and non-BPS members alike, and is suitable for trainees and qualified psychologists, as well as for psychological therapists. It features the adaptation of psychological practice to online delivery and includes psychological assessments (including psychometrics and neuropsychological assessment), direct and indirect interventions, supervision, research and leadership activities.

Legal, ethical, and information governance issues pertaining to safe and effective online practice are also explored. Reference to the relevant UK policy guidelines and evidence base are integrated throughout. Given the rapid transition to online working prompted by the covid-19 crisis, this e-learning course provides a significant, unique and timely contribution to the training of psychological professionals in safe and effective digital mental health practice.
